    Live Wedding Painting

I had the pleasure of being able to capture Ali and Shawn's first dance at their wedding last month. It was at the Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront and was a gorgeous celebration. I did some pre-painting before the event, captured as much as the background and dance during, then finished up a few finer details in my studio afterwards. If you are unfamiliar with live painting, I basically paint an event while it is happening. I do a little bit of prep work, and of course some

Kiss the Girl - Alcohol Marker Timelapse

A timelapse of my newest piece - Kiss the Girl. This was done with a mixture of alcohol markers, which I feel like I am starting to get the hang of, as well as some pan pastels for the background. It is 11x14 on bristol board. This piece is also currently for sale (and framed) at Art Gallery of Viera, or directly through me, for $100. #mermaids #alcoholmarkers #timelapse

    New Pencil Portrait Timelapse!

I dont always share my portraits on here, but I recorded a timelapse of the process of this one so I wanted to share! Pencil on Strathmore Bristol Board, I believe I used a brand called Graphite Sticks, they are very smooth and blendable. I do most of my blending with a Qtip and paper stump, highlights with a kneadable eraser and sakura jelly roll pen. #portrait #commision #timelapse #pencil

    Over the Top Sammies

Over the Top Sammies is a delicious new sandwich shop that recently opened up in Palm Bay, and while I HIGHLY recommend their food, I also wanted to share some of the artwork and logo design that I did for them. The mural that I did on their front counter I did a mural on their wall, and this a timelapse of the process... AND if you are not local, but this video makes you hungry, they make and sell several types of hot sauces, so check them out anyways and order yourself some

    Inktober + Drawlloween

Everyday in the month of October I will be creating a new piece of art to go along with Inktober and Drawlloween.... What does this mean? Well, 1, each piece will be done in ink (hence inktober) and as part of drawlloween, they will all be Halloween related as I will be following a prompt list. I'm doing them on greeting cards as 5x7s, and they will be for sale for $15. Since they are originals, it is first come first serve... so if you guy something and it's already claimed

    Ottlite Review and Timelapse!

Today I am going to talk a little bit about a product I recently started using in my art studio and give a bit of a review. So some back story A few months or so back, while perusing the shelves of Michaels Art Supply, I decided that I needed some better lighting. After a little home reorganization, my husband and I recently converted our spare bedroom into a bit of hobby/art space. It is nice, but there was zero lighting and I had been drawing in pretty dim lighting…. Anyway

    Cheap Art Supply Challenge

Hi Guys! So this week I decided to take part in the Cheap Art Supply Challenge. If you are not familiar, it is basically where you just create something out of materials that are lower end, or don’t cost that much. A lot of people do it with dollar store art supply’s or Crayola, but I had been wanting this super colorful watercolor palette from Michaels, so I decided to just use that for the challenge since it was only $6. Here is a link if you are interested. In my video I t

Beso De Amor Street Art and Time Lapse

Saturday night was Art Gallery of Viera's opening reception for their Exposure show... but on top of that, Maria Laughlin is also the featured artist of the month. To celebrate, she asked me to recreate one of her pieces, Beso De Amor, on the sidewalk. It took about an hour and a half to complete. I did manage to capture a time lapse of the first hald before my phone died... Some more images, photo credit to Jerry Hanzl #chalkart #streetart #chalk #timelapse

    Testing out India Ink...

After years and years of listening to my husband "Remember that one piece you did in Ink..." I decided to pick up a bottle of India Ink and give it a try. I played around with just solid ink and mixing it with water to get different variations... My first piece was a wolf. As much as I hate to let him know, the husband was right. This was a fun medium to work in that gave me some darker imagery than I normally work in. Since there was a "Black and White" show coming up at Art
