ABOUT CHELSEY

Artist Biography

Chelsey Scott is an artist living in Gainesville, GA (about 45min North of Atlanta). Originally from Melbourne, FL she works professionally as a Graphic Designer, but also creates work in pencil, watercolor, acrylic, ink, alcohol markers, pastels, and whatever else she can get her hands on.

Her professional resume includes over 13 years of graphic design specializing in sports and product development. She worked as the Senior Designer for The Highland Mint till 2017, and is currently working as the Art Director for Fan Creations creating home goods and specialty products. Along the way she has won several awards, been on TV, illustrated a children's book, been published in a variety of outlets, owned a central Florida Gallery, and participated in social marketing events with Nasa.

Aside from traditional and graphic art Chelsey is also a Master Chalk Artist. She entered the world of street art after being inspired by her high school’s annual sidewalk festival. Street art was a chance to travel and explore the art community in a whole new way. Over 10 years later she is still playing with color and exploring what can be done with the freehand method to combine realism and fantasy to bring an image to life.
